My CVS Shop: 5/16-5/22

The key to CVS is to use sales, manufacturer coupons (and store coupons if you have them) AND ECBs all on the same item. Another key is to break your items up into multiple transactions so you are rolling the ECBS, getting ECBS to print out and then paying with them. You want to spend as little real money as possible. Here is what I did this week:

Transaction 1:Bought 2 Herbal Essence Shampoos (note that limit is 2 per household instead of the normal 1). This totaled $6. . used 2 of the $1 coupons that came out 5/16 RP and get total down to $4. Paid with $3 in ECBs I had from last week. So paid $1 real money. If you have no ECBS from last week, then you would pay $4 real money.

Transaction 2: Bought Blade 5 Razor System on sale for $6.99, paid with the $4 ECBS from Transaction 1 and paid 2.99 real money. Got back $6.99 in ECBS

Transaction 3: Bought 2 packs of the Scott Paper Towels (6 pack) for $10 total, used 2 of the $1 coupons from the May All You Magazine to bring total down to $8. Paid with the $6.99 ECBS from Transaction 2. And paid $1 real money. If you do not have these coupons you would pay $3 real money.

So for a total of $5 plus tax I got 2 shampoos, 1 razor, and 12 rolls of paper towels!!!

If you started with no ECBS and did these 3 transactions you would pay only $9 which is still a good deal for all that!! And even if you do not have the Scott Paper Towel coupons, $11 for all the above is still good. I mean even $11 is cheaper than what you usually spend on 12 rolls of paper towels!!

The drugstore game is so worth learning!! Those of you who have taken my class can hear me saying, "BAM, BAM, BAM. . Triple BAM!" right now, can't you??

Let me know how you did at CVS this week!!
