My Rite Aid Shop (good til 9/11)

Rite Aid is my new favorite store!! The frequent $5 off $25 coupons make it so worth shopping there.

Just this morning, I got all the below for $4.63 out of pocket!! (plus got $2 UP to spend next week)!!

The above should have cost me $98.69 but I paid only $4.63!! I saved 95%!!!

Here's what I did:

I split my items into 2 transactions so that I could use a $5 off $25 coupon each time. I make sure that my items total to as close to $25 as possible. . now it does have to be $25 or over. $24.99 would not work.

So my first transaction I bought 7 of those air freshener things. These were on sale for half price, so they rang up $4.99. I saw in the flier (and on Southern Savers) that if I bought $30 worth, I would get a $10 UP so I bought 7 of them. Again if I bought 6 of them I would have only reached a $29.94 total and I needed $30 to get that $10 UP. So I bought 7 and to get my total to $34.93.

I then used a $5 off $25 coupon, 7 of the $4 off manufacturer coupons. These were in 8/8 SS and 8/29 SS. This is why is pays to have multiple copies of the coupon inserts. And I also used $1 Rite Aid coupon from watching videos.

All these coupons brought my total down to 93 cents plus tax of 1.83 so grand total out of pocket was $2.86. Now I do not use these air fresheners. . but when I pay only $2.86 real money and get back $10 to spend in the store. . I pick them up. I just made $7.14!!!

Sidenote: if some of these air fresheners would make you smile, email me and you can stop by and grab a few.

Then I did a 2nd transaction. I bought the Claritin which was $23.99 and 3 boxes of Kleenex on sale for 99 cents each. That made my total $26.96.

I then used a $5 off $25 coupon, the $5 off Claritin Rite Aid coupon that was in this week's flier, $5 manufacturer coupon from 8/29SS, a $1 off 3 Kleenex Rite Aid coupon from watching videos, a .50 off 3 Kleenex coupon from 8/15 SS AND my $10 UPs from the first transaction and got my total down to 46 cents plus tax of $1.31 which means $1.77 out of pocket. AND I got 2 UPs for buying the Claritin, which I just saved to use next week.

WOW!! Let me know if you go to Rite Aid this week. These deals are good til Sat, 9/11. I'd love to hear how you do.

And if all of this is a little overwhelming but you really want to learn to save big at Rite Aid and CVS and Walgreens, then you may want to consider taking my Drugstore Only class on Tues, Sept 28 from 7-9:15pm at my home. Email me for details and registration.

And one last thing: CSN is giving a $40 gift card to one of my readers. Click here to enter; you have until Mon midnight to enter. But it is really easy, just leave a comment on this post here telling me what you are in the market to buy right now. . or if you are not in the market to buy anything right now. . just say hi, ask me a question, tell me something. :) This is just a little way for me to say thanks for reading my blog and telling your friends about my classes.
