Be Intentional About This: Nourishing Your Soul

4:42pm, Friday, Sept. 1.

Rob and the 5 kids just pulled out of the driveway to spend the weekend at the lake. They are looking forward to a weekend of wakeboarding, tubing, fishing, swimming, boating, jumping and sliding off the dock, hanging out with Grandmom and Grandpop.

I stayed home. To nourish my soul.

How do you nourish your soul? (I really would like to know!)

I am brainstorming my list right now:

Sleep, bubble bath, some painting, Chinese food, American Pickers, prayer, some crafting, yard sales, hair cut, learning my new camera. . .another bubble bath. . .more sleep. . .all of it by myself in the quiet.

A new woman will be back here blogging on Tuesday, Sept 6 :)

  1. Oh, Su - your weekend sounds heavenly. There have been so many times that my husband has seen my exhaustion/frustration and has said, "why don't you get out of the house for a little bit?" I'd always respond, "I don't want to go anywhere, I just want to be here at home - alone- for a little while!" May God bless this time of quiet solitude for you! My only recommendation would be to do as little as possible - don't use this weekend to accomplish anything more than positive self-care. :) Marianne Jurney

  2. Su... well deserved, my friend! I so appreciate your posting this, and my reading this as I plan my weekend. Sometimes time alone with our Creator is just what the doctor ordered, so to speak! Enjoy and I will be praying for your soul to be nourished and replenished in ways you never could have imagined!

  3. Sounds fantastic!! Enjoy!
