Black Friday Shopping

Here's 3 things I wanted to share with you in regards to Black Friday Shopping:

1. Sneak peeks of Black Friday ads are already popping up. Do you get up early and brave the crowds for some super deals? What stores are your favorite to hit?

2. My sister and I have gotten up early on Thanksgiving Day. . the day BEFORE Black Friday to hit the deals at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid. We shop, then cook, and then eat. A fun day. Southern Savers already has the deal matchups for us. . the sales going on plus what coupons to use.

3. And then one other deal I am excited about is the 50% off one item ACE Hardware coupon . . . the coupon has to be used on an item that is under $30 and can only be used Saturday, 11/26. . .so the day AFTER Black Friday. But the last few years, we have gotten some great deals with this coupon. Rob used the coupon last year to buy me a wrought iron window box for only $13. And the kids used one to buy me a 2nd window box.

So tell me: What are your favorite stores to hit on Black Friday? Is there a deal you are especially excited about this year? Or do you think Black Friday is just too insane?

  1. I am excited about this post... like Su, I'm curious. I'd love to know more about the deals that people eyeing this year. I am often stumped as to what to get extended family and would love to go out and get a few fantastic items that wouldn't normal fit the budget. As for me, I usually plan on going to Micheal's and/or AC Moore (sometimes, breaking away from the Thanksgiving festivities, as they have been open for a few hours in the eve with some deals worth going out for). I hold off all year knowing that this will be the best time to stock up on supplies I use throughout the year, not necessarily Christmas gift related. Often times they will have sales with things 40 to 50% off with a coupon good for an additional 30% off your entire purchase (make sure it says 'good on sale items')... so that is 70 to 80% off! So, for example, I love scrapbook paper and often times a stack is $20... well last year I got several for $4... can't beat that!
