But I did not lose it when this happened. . .

So me losing it over the handprint snowman ornaments. . and then carving out time and space to processing the whys. . .helped me NOT to loose it when I saw this:

Sunday was the ornament escapade. Monday was this:

My boys really did think it was a good idea to slide down the stairs on my whiteboard!

  4. SORRY, but I laughed!.....

Now that you have a hole there, what about expanding it & make a laundry chute, or.....? CONTEST TIME! Who can come up with the best idea to use/camouflage this new "space" in your home! -CP

  5. also laughing!!! And celebrating your victory in not losing it! Love the way you transitioned from the wall picks to..."Oh, by the way...deals on magazines..." Because that's just the way mom conversations roll! :)

  6. this is definitely a decorating opportunity. pull out the dry wall. put in a black piece of fabric, leaving a little "cave" and put a tiny mouse in the doorway! i dare you...

  7. LOVED your two stories yesterday and today - how true and reminds me of so many times I over-react when my expectations are not met. Like apple picking - I pictured a Norman Rockwell experience and instead got a LONG walk to the orchard, only to hear one say he has to use the potty, do that and finally get back and the other one has to go...walk back again...then one starts screaming and panicking bc there are bees around and she is deathly afraid of bees. So I sit in car with kids while husband picks all my apples for me, not too happily I might add. He tends to be the more realistic one of us so was not surprised we were not skipping gaily through the trees while birds entwined ribbons in our hair as we picked our apples.
