5 for Friday (actually 5 for this Spring Break week)

Happy Friday!  Here's 5 things I wanted to share with you:

1. Mark your calendars for next Tuesday, April 3. From 12-8pm that day, Ben & Jerry's will be giving away a free icecream cone to all.

We have been the past few years to the Ben & Jerry's at North Hills. Such fun to let the kids play in that grass field while we all eat free icecream.

2. Every Thursday in April, Chick-Fil-A is giving away a variety of FREE breakfast entrees to customers who make a reservation online.

Click here to make your reservation at the Chick-Fil-A closest to you. You can pick one date and make one reservation per email address. Choose from April 5, April 12, April 19, or April 26th.

3. If you ar looking for fun ways to celebrate the real meaning of Easter with your kids, check out my post from yesterday 5 Fun Ways to Make Easter More Meaningful and my Easter Pinterst Board. Happy Easter from my family to yours!!

This is one of my favorite ways to celebrate Easter.
A cross covered in wire is transformed into beauty as members of our church fill it with flowers.
It is a beautiful reminder that God is really good at taking the ugly in our life and making it beautiful.
God is so in the transformation business.
4. April 15 marks my 3 year Blog Anniversary. I will be celebrating the week of April 16th-April 20th right here. I will be giving away some really good goodies. . . like free passes to my classes, a custom made coupon binder, a stack of my favorite books that have helped me on my " be intentional journey", and more. . .as a way of saying thanks for spending some of your time here at The Intentional Home.
I really do enjoy you and your email and your comments. If you do not already subscribe to my blog or follow The Intentional Home on Facebook, now may be the time, so you do not miss a thing that anniversary week. I want it to be a true celebration!

5. Today starts Spring Break for my kiddos. So I will be off the computer until they go back to school. I will be back blogging on Tues, April 9th. Until then, may your days be intentional. As Brooke was getting her hair cut last night, I read this quote by Stephen Covey in a magazine and I said "Yes, that's how I am going to live."

The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule,
but to schedule your priorities.

  1. We also do Resurrection rolls, only with crescent rolls. The kids love this tradition! I just found two great printables we may try out this year. For my older boys, it's an Easter advent focusing the truth of Easter and acts of service and love. For my preschooler, it's printables that are designed to be cut out and taped to the set of wooden blocks we already have. This will allow him to tell and re-tell the events of this Holy week, much the same way a kid-friendly Nativity set does at Christmas.
