Happy Friday!! Here's 5 things I wanted to share with you:
#1. I am in the midst of my first blog series on Kids & Chores. If you missed any of the posts so far, you can click on the links below:
Day 1: Why My First Blog Series is on Kids & Chores
Day 2: How to Teach Kids a New Chore
Day 3: Chores Kids Can Do
Day 4: 5 Ways to Get Kids to Do Chores (Without Yelling!)
#2. Today I was gonna share Our Family Chore System and talk about whether allowance should be tied to chores or not. But that's gonna have to wait til tomorrow cause today was spent taking Brooke to the doctor for an earache and then to the pharamacy. And tonight we not only have kids going every which way, but Rob and I are doing our taxes. So I really need to get off here and go pull all the papers needed for taxes. Intentional women are flexible. They create vision for the day and make plans but know that the unexpected sometimes happens. And when things do not go the way they planned, they release control and choose a good attitude (can you tell I am talking to myself here. . .lol).
#3. I will still share 3 more days on Kids & Chores. I will just finish up on Monday instead of Sunday. This is what you can expect:
Day 5 on Saturday: My Chore System and Should Allowances Be Tied to Chores
Day 6 on Sunday: How Chores Do Much More than Just Keep the House Clean
Day 7 on Monday: Using Scripture to Teach about Chores
#4. A friend just sent my this:
I was gonna send it out to the gals who just took my Meal Planning & Freezer Cooking class, but thought you all would get a chuckle. It's funny because we really have thought this eh? This was so me the first 12 years of my marriage. Now I meal plan even when I do not feel like it and teach classes on it. Only God.
#5. Got the below email this week and wanted to share. If you are looking for something to cook this weekend, perhaps try out the Crockpot Chicken Fajitas because look what has been said about them!
Hi Su, I made your Chicken Fajita Recipe for my co-workers Friday. We had a potluck and I am *not* kidding when I say they gobbled it the heck up. I had three peeps ask for the recipe, and I think they're even going to print it in the company newsletter! I also made it for a family on Sunday. They've had me over for dinner so many times that I wanted to cook for them. It was easy, everyone liked it, and it made my heart SO HAPPY to serve them in that way! :) Hoorah!!
