5 for Friday

Happy Friday! Here's 5 things I wanted to share with you:

1. First, I want to thank you so much for all the interest in Anna's Craft Camp for a Cause. Anna was so encouraged by your emails and comments and posts on Facebook and email forwards. Looks like there are only 4 spots open so if you want to get your daughter, grandaughter, or special little girlfriend signed up, contact me soon and I will send you the registration form. Details about the camp can be found here.

2.  Speaking of Arts and Crafts, Michaels has a 25% off you entire purchase (including sales items) coupon that you can print out. This coupon is good for this Thur-Sat only. . .so today and tomorrow only, May 4 & 5. Even if you are not crafty, this would be a good coupon to use for kids' bday presents or even Mother's Day presents.

3. I did not get to Harris Teeter until this morning. My favorite deals this week are below.  This is for those of you who told me you like when I do these posts. . .because with little ones around, sometimes you do not have time to check out the coupon blogs. Well, thanks so much for checking out my blog!! These deals will be good til Tues, 5/8.

Quaker Real Medley Oatmeal (these are new, they are individual microwavable bowls) are $1.99. There is an e-vic coupon for 50¢ that you can load to your card.  If you have never loaded these electronic coupons to your vic card, read this post here for instructions. Now e-vic coupons do not double, but you can use them in conjunction with paper coupons and there is a 50¢ paper coupon for this oatmeal in the 4/29 RP.  So use both of those coupons and you get this new product for just 49¢. Do note that e-vic coupons only come off once. . so only buy 1 product.

Keebler Chocolate Chip Cookies are on sale for $1.94. Use the 75/2 coupon in 4/15 RP and you pay $2.50 for 2 packages. . .$1.25 a package is not bad for this special treat.

Mission Tortillas are on sale for $1.99. Use the $1 coupon in 4/29 SS and get them for 99¢. These freeze well too. Just put the whole package in a ziploc bag (so now they are double bagged) and throw in  freezer.

Pepperdige Farm Bread is on sale BOGO. So 2 loaves are $3.99 and if you use the $1/2 coupon from 4/29 SS, you can get 2 loaves for $3 which is a good price for this speciality bread. I got the sour dough bread to make french toast with this weekend. My kids are going to think I am one good mom come tomorrrow morning.

Coffee Mate Liquid Creamer is on sale for $1.67. Use the $1 coupon from 4/29 SS and you get it for 67¢

Bounty Paper Towels are on sale for $6.99. There is an e-vic coupon for $1 off.  Use this and the 25¢ coupon from the PG insert and you get 8 rolls of paper towels for $5.50. . a little higher than I like to pay, but if you need paper towels, this is better than paying the normal full price of $10.59!!

4. I have 2 more classes before summer hits so if you have always wanted to take one of my classes, now is the time. They are quickly filling up. Click on the title of the class for details and registration.

Tues, May 8: Meal Planning & Freezer Cooking, 7-9:15pm at my house in Raleigh

Thurs, May 31: Home Organization & Decor, 7-9:30pm at my house in Raleigh

All classes will resume in September. I spend each summer revamping my classes, making new handouts, creating new classes. So come fall, brand new classes will be on the schedule as well as my most popular ones. . but they are improved and updated. Upcoming classes are always listed on the right hand side of my blog.

5.  I sure would like your input on 2 things that I am currently working on:

1. With the end of school quickly approaching, I want to compile a list of summer kid activities, resources, and links for us. . .like the list of free kids movies, free summer bowling, the reading incentive progams around town, etc. (any of you have that info yet that you can forward to me?).  If you have anything that would be great to add to this list I am working on, please contact me.
from Pinterest

2. I am also working on a blog series called How to Raise Big Dreamers. . . how to raise kids with courage. . kids who are not afraid to risk. . kids who want to and believe they can change the world.  I want to address parenting all age groups. . the toddler and preschoolers to the high school seniors. Do you have any questions that pop into your mind when I mention this topic?  Is there something you intentionally do to instill this in your child? If so, would you share it with me and give me permission to share it in my blog series? I would love if you would share with me your questions, ideas, and thoughts. They will make my blog series so much better.

Does this count as a "summer activity/freebee for kids"? "did you see that Sonic will have shakes for 1/2 prices after 8 p.m, every night, all summer long?? Is that a good thing or a very bad thing?"
