GREAT deal on Kellogg's Cereal

I usually do not post twice a day, but the kids are in school and there is a GREAT, GREAT! deal on Kellogg's cereal at Harris Teeter. This deal starts today and is good til Tues, Sept 11.

I received an email today from HT letting me know that because I am an e-vic member, I will receive a $1 off any 8-24 oz. Kellogg's cereal.  Did you get this email too?  Cause it does say in my email that:

The special offers listed below have been selected specifically for your
VIC household as a valued e-VIC member and are non-transferable.

So I am wondering did you get it too?

Now these Kellogg's cereals are already BOGO. Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes (the sugar cereal) is normally $3.45. So the sale makes them $1.72. But with the e-vic deal, they are only 72¢. Buy 3 for $2.16 and use the $1/3 coupon that is always out and you get 3 boxes for $1.16 or 38¢ a box!!

The healthier cereals (??) like Crunchy Nut are normally $4.25 so the BOGO sale makes them $2.13.  But witht the e-vic deal, they are $1.13 a box. Buy 3 for $3.39. Use the $1/3 coupon that is always out and you get 3 boxes for $2.39 or 80¢ a box.  BUT get this, on those healthier (??) cereals, there is a peelie for $1 off fresh fruit. Find 3 of the boxes with those peelies and you can get 3 boxes of cereal and 3 lbs of grapes (cause they are on sale this week for 99¢ a pound) for $2.39!!

Even if you do not like this cereal or think it is totally unhealthy, you should do the cereal/fruit deal. Keep the fruit and donate the cereal. You are getting the fruit for cheaper than you would normally.

Do note that this deal can only be done once per vic card.  And there is a limit of 4 cereals per vic card.

You really can cut your grocery bill in half!! Consider coming to my coupon class to learn how. I am in the process of ramping up and starting my classes again. I take a break for the summer since the kids are home and always start back up towards the end of September. I post all classes on the right hand side of my blog. Dates should be up soon!!

  1. Hey Su, we don't get these kind of deals in Toronto. I'm always in awe of some of your grocery deals. Donating the items you don't usually use is an amazing idea. You are good girl.
