12 Quotes to Inspire You to Be Intentional

Because it is still the time of year to be goalish and resolution-ish and purposeful and intentional, I wanted to share 12 quotes to inspire you to be intentional this year. One quote for each month!
You rarely have time for everything you want in this life,
so you need to make choices.
And hopefully your choices can come from
a deep sense of who you are.
-Mr Rogers
Each day is a little life, and our whole life is but a day repeated.

God has a wonderful plan for your life. . .and so does everyone else!
the above green and blue quotes are from
Elizabeth George's book A Woman After God's Own Heart

We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives.
We have to decide what is important
and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us.
We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something.
We have to learn to be content with what we are.
-Marjorie Hinckley

How can you hit the target
if you do not know where you are aiming?

Progress is born out of rhythm, routine, regularity….set times.
-Ann Voskamp

I have a whole Pinterest board titled Inspiration to Be Intentional; that is where you can find the original source of those "picture quotes' above. Intentional is my word. I am not looking to live a perfect life. I want an intentional life. I am not aiming to be the perfect parent. I want to be an intentional parent. I don't want a perfect home. I want an intentional home.

And I aim to encourage and inspire other women be intentional. I am passionate about seeing women come alive, live with purpose, and create homes of peace and joy. . .homes that really are a refuge from the chaos of the world. I am passionate about seeing women make an impact on their homes, their families, and their communities. That is what this blog and my classes are about.

Do you have a favorite quote that inspires you to live intentionally?  I'd love to see it and add it to this list.

I am sharing this post over at some of my favorite linky parties: Titus 2 Tuesdays

  1. What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

  2. Thank you Su, we can always use good wisdom.

  3. Great quotes! Thanks for sharing the encouragement.

  4. "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
    Ralph Waldo Emerson, (attributed)
    and also,
“Keep away from those who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that but the really great make you believe that you too can become great.” Mark Twain
