Gift Ideas for Mom

Mother's Day is right around the corner and Brooke (my 13 year old) and I have a great gift idea for all the special women on your list. A handmade, hand painted picture frame with a sweet reminder that we are indeed blessed and have much to be thankful for.

These picture frames are made from reclaimed wood, hand painted, and then distressed and antiqued for an aged and vintage feel. Here's Brooke and her brothers sanding the wood.

No two picture frames are exactly alike since they are completely handmade and hand painted.

The weather worn white picture frames come with your choice of turquoise, apple green, or English tea brown lettering.

The frame is a 9.5 inch square and its 2 clothespins hold one 4x6 picture or 2 smaller pictures. The clothespins make it so easy to display and change out your favorite snapshots.

You can choose the wording Obviously Blessed.

That is Brooke above when she was about 2 years old. It's those everyday snapshots that remind me the most that I have a good life.

Or you can choose the wording Blessed & Grateful.

These picture frames are the perfect place to put that favorite snapshot (or even instagram photo) and remind us of the blessing of everyday moments. . .like the one above, silly brothers with shirts on their heads (because syrup tends to drip!) delighting in Eggo waffles for breakfast.

The grandmother on your list could display the photo of all her treasures (aka grandkids) here. The brand new momma could use it to display her ultrasound picture.

We mommas are indeed blessed. . .yes, even amidst the noise, frustration, and mess motherhood brings. I need a reminder every now and then that I have much to be thankful for. These old photos make me smile: Rob reading to the kids (that was when we had just 3), Brooke as a preschooler dressing up in Grandma's beach hat, and Jonathan when he was in the orphanage in Guatemala.

These picture frames are $20 each. Or you can get 2 for $35. One for your mom and one for your mother-in-love. One for your mom and one for your sister!  One for the woman who is like a mom to you and one for a baby shower coming up.

And I know, many of you reading this are "the mom". So perhaps you can forward this post, or share it on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and give the people in your life who made you a mom a little hint on what to get you.

All money from these picture frames will go towards Brooke's mission trip to Guatemala this summer. Brooke will be joining Anna in Guatemala to love up on the kids in a difficult area of Guatemala City, an area devastated by poverty, gangs, and lack of education. This will be Brooke's first mission trip.

If you are interested in purchasing a frame, you can contact me here and Brooke and I will pull one aside just for you.  Or if you are not local, we can ship to your door for just $6. Or if you would simply forward this post to your friends, we would be so appreciative.
